We’re ready for tomorrow’s race!

The skis have been waxed, the race course has been studied, the sign is up and everything is ready for the start of the 220km’s long Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet!

Two of tomorrows contestants who’s going out the trail is Bob Impola and Brian McKeever. Bob ended up at 9th place at last years Nordenskiöldslopp and at 13th place in this years Vasalopp. Brian is ten-times gold champion in Paralympics and ended up at 20th place in this years Vasalopp. We had a quick talk with these two before tomorrows big challenge.

Good to know about the race day:

The start takes place at 06.00 (Swedish time) in Purkijaur and the starting gates are open from 05.00 for laying down your skis. Please observe that only contestant are allowed to ride with the buses to the start line.

The first contestants are expected to finish sometime between 15.00 and 17.00 depending on snow conditions and the price ceremony takes place at 19.00 by the finish area at Jokkmokk Skidstadion.

There is a few parking spots available in both locations (Purkijaur and Jokkmokk) for friends and family. Please note that spectators following the race from snowmobiles are strictly forbidden to drive on the race track.
